Ashley and Justin Engaged

When I first met Ashley and her mom I thought, “Whoa, I am way out of my league.”  For one thing, Ashley and her mom explained to me that they’d been looking for photographers in Dallas (where they are from) and had been impressed with a few, but when they inquired as to those photographer’s prices they were well over the $10,000 mark for their beginning packages.  This immediately told me two things:  one, they have really good taste and two, I need to raise my prices!!  haha!  The next thing that let me know that I was dealing with the real thing (as far as expectant clients :) my favorites) was that Ashley’s mom brought a book sized stack of  images that she had found of awesome work by awesome photographers online.  Needless to say, I have a lot to live up to.  So, with a more than medium amount of trepidation Ashley, Justin, my assistant Ashley and I all met up at the World Hunger Farm to begin the shoot with a tractor.  From there, in incredible winds we wound our way through East Waco and over to the old railroad bridge near downtown.  Ashley and Justin are a sweet couple and I am thrilled that they have put their trust in me, lowly Waco photographer for their Moon River Ranch destination wedding!  Thanks guys, and I hope you like theses!

ps. look for a couple cool shots by my very talented assistant Ashley Eddleman :)

Cheers!
Sarah

Love the feet shot Ashley!

Amy’s Bridals

This shoot was really fun because I was able to see Earl Harrison with a new eye.  I’m not exactly sure why, but Amy and I were alone and I think that my brain just had an easy time breathing!  It was a cool day, and this super dramatic cluster of clouds visited us for a short while over head and I was able to get some dramatic blue shots of Amy on the lawn!  The amount of white in these images is so cool.  I think it really makes her stand out and look “fresh!”   She, of course, looks beautiful!  Enjoy!

Amy and Sky

So it’s Saturday, March 20th and umm…38 degrees…where do YOU want to be???  Duh!  At Amy and Sky’s outdoor wedding at the beautiful Earle Harrison House!!  What amazing troopers…and not a single complaint.  They married in the big white tent on the property instead of outside by the gazebo and with their attitudes you would have thought that that was their plan all along!  I was amazed…and a little stretched honestly.  I mean usually when I go to the EHH I shoot outside (my favorite, btw) and the wedding party and I can roam the grounds freely.  Saturday was not at all like that.  We spent our time inside the big old house and found some pretty cool shots, if I do say so myself…and I do.  I hope you enjoy them.  Ps don’t miss the look on Sky’s face when Amy’s dad gives her little girl away to him…elation.  I love weddings. pps cool tree stump cake by Bobby Roudin, decor and fabulous coordination by my very own studio suite mate Lauren Kelly of Lauren Kelly Events!

Mandi and Jake Wed

on Saturday the 13th of March.  The couple is so sweet and I honestly found myself getting caught up in the emotion of the day along with their families.  It was so great and we had a lovely time!  They married at Harris Creek Baptist Church and then moved on the the Palladium in downtown Waco.  Patti’s kitchen did a great job with the the food.  Cakes by Laura created two tasty cakes!  The couple shares a love for Africa as they have both visited a number of times and plan to go back together in the future…hence Jake’s “African” grooms cake!  Yay, guys congrats!
