Olive = Adorable

I am so glad that my friend Olive came to see me today!!  I had so much fun playing with her cuteness.  I’m thankful for Olive’s mommy Christina too.  She’s been through a rough time lately with her older daughter and this was a good time spent with the youngest chick in the family.  Olive, you are adorable…and you know it!!

Beade and Darlene

These two really make me smile.  I hope that Matt and I will be this cute when we are at their maturity!  Beade and Darlene are soon to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.  The big party will be at Moon River Ranch in a few weeks.  We decided to take a few photos before then to capture a portrait of these two to display at the celebration.  I was delighted to spend an hour chatting with these two and I love the photos that resulted!

Sarah is 7!

Sarah is seven.  And I must say that it is so fun to see a little girl grow up before your eyes.  I have my own of course and I even have a seven year old, but it is so precious to see a child only once a year and witness the yearly jumps that children make.  It seems like just yesterday that Sarah came to my studio for her six year photos!  This year we decided to shoot outside at Baylor.  It was a beautiful morning and Sarah’s inquisitive explorer nature lead us to look at nuts, flowers and even go on a squirrel chase.   We stopped into the SUB to play a little piano, as that is one of Sarah’s hobbies.  I love the photos in front of the mirror…a lot of who we are as humans and as women is summed up in those photos.  Thanks Sarah, for sharing another milestone with me.  I’m honored.

Brittney + Clay

I had a great time strolling down the river with Brittney, Clay and their two sweet pups.  Brittney and Clay will marry in Abilene on November 6th.  And soon after their cute dogs may have to take a backseat to their new baby boy coming soon.  I love these photos of them on the river at sunset…the colors are so rich and the subjects so cute!

Kelsey’s Senior Photos

I absolutely love getting to know seniors like Kelsey.  This girl is comfortable in her skin, confident in who she is and yet humble.  Good job mom and dad!  I was privileged to shoot Kelsey’s senior photos last week.  We started out at the studio and used my fun new flower backdrop :) and then went downtown for a little more urban feel.  Kelsey has one sister, who apparently, couldn’t be more different than her.  I love hearing about families with two girls…of course, because that is my family.  My girls are still young so I enjoy learning about how two daughters/sisters has turned out for different families.  My girls are really different too!  Kelsey, I think you’ve turned out great so far! :) and I hope that this year is your best yet!  Congratulations senior!

Kelsey is really into collecting boxes so I asked her to bring some along to make the shoot more personal…I love how this turned out!
