Everyone needs a little inspiration now and again.  The time had come a few weeks ago for me.  I had a visit with my friend Lacy over at Georgio’s Bridal Salon in Waco and told her that I needed to photograph a bride in a very green field of grass on the farm where we live.  I had been walking in the garden the week before to pick some greens for dinner and noticed the amazing evening light streaming in at a wonderful low angle, emphasizing the long rolling waves the grass blades made.  Inspired by the light (as usual) I set out to capture something new and different with a bride.  I asked my oh-so-talented and faithful friend Angela Karr to dream up a make up job that would surprise and enchant our friends.  She agreed and so did Casey our sweet model.  We met up at the World Hunger Relief Farm, Inc. (where I reside:) and set to work.

My only regret is getting a later start than I should have.  The light was at its very end when I just felt like I was getting warmed up!  Even so, I love the shots that I did get.  I hope you do too and I welcome your comments and ideas.

Whitney and I thought that this was a good month to get excited about the upcoming wedding season.  Hence, we took the time to do an inspiration shoot!  Many thanks to Lacy over at Georgio’s Bridal Salon for the beautiful dress, jewelry, and veil!  Kudos to Angela Karr as well for a make-up job well done!  And I can’t forget the amazing hair skills of my friend Melisa Morgan over at The Beauty Shop!!  Here are a couple digital shots.  Yes, I said digital because I actually shot film for the majority of this inspiration shoot!!!  I’m soooo excited to see the negatives that I’m having a hard time not peeing in my pants!  Don’t worry, you’ll be the first I share with when I get them back!  Oh, how I’ve missed that film anticipation!  Enjoy till next time!
